Prints available upon request.

The painting pairs with my other piece “ATUR — Assyria Around the Uorld.” It repeatedly has 'Assyria,' written in 30+ languages and scripts including:

Assyrian Eastern & Western script (Surit & Suroyo), Japanese, Sinhalese, Armenian, Russian, Korean, Tigrinya, French, German, Swedish, Simplified Chinese, Greek, Cuneiform, Hebrew, Arabic, Vietnamese, Hindi.

The imagery of this piece was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man.

Most of us live in diaspora around the world, outside of our native homeland (indigenous to Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey) where Assyria used to be.

On top of that, many of us are mixed and we're engrained in the communities we live in.

May we continue to celebrate our distinct roots nevertheless. This project took hours of research and practice, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Use this art as a reminder to dream big and take action.

Care Instructions

To ensure the life of original works of art, and of museum-quality prints, you can frame the painting using acid-free materials.

Watercolours are ideally framed under glass or plexi-glass to protect from moisture, dust, and accidental damage to thepainting.

Paintings in watercolour are particularly vulnerable to the effect of external factors like light and humidity. Never hang the painting opposite a window or on a wall where it is exposed to full sunlight for most of the day. This will cause the colours to fade and the paper to become brittle. Keep the watercolour away from heat, oils, odours and moisture in the kitchen. Also do not hang it near heaters or other heat-emitting appliances as that will damage the colour pigments permanently.
